competitions terms & conditions
COMPANY
1.1 Quantum Comps (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates prize competitions, giveaways, and skill-based games (“Competition” or “Competitions”) through the website quantum-comps.co.uk. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you should stop using the Website immediately.
ELIGIBILITY
2.1 Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
2.2 Employees, directors, contractors, agents, representatives of Quantum Comps, and members of their immediate families are not permitted to enter any Competition. Immediate family members include spouses, civil partners, parents, guardians, children, stepchildren, siblings, and step-siblings.
HOW TO ENTER
3.1 Competitions are available for entry only while they are active and accepting entries (“Competition Period”). Quantum Comps may operate multiple Competitions at the same time, each with its own prize, ticket allocation, and entry price.
3.2 To participate, entrants must create an account on quantum-comps.co.uk and provide accurate information including their full name, email address, telephone number, and residential address.
3.3 By entering a Competition, entrants confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions and are legally entitled to claim any prize they may win.
3.4 To enter a Competition, participants must follow the instructions displayed on the Competition page, select the desired number of entries, answer any skill-based question where applicable, and complete payment.
3.5 Once payment has been successfully processed, a confirmation email will be sent and details of the entry will be visible within the entrant’s account. Receipt of payment and allocation of ticket numbers do not automatically guarantee participation if the entry is subsequently found to be invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
3.6 A free postal entry route is available for every Competition.
3.7 Each Competition may have a maximum number of entries permitted per person. Entry limits may vary between Competitions and will be displayed on the relevant Competition page.
3.8 Only one account is permitted per individual. Creating multiple accounts, registering on behalf of another person, or using another person’s details may result in suspension of the account, cancellation of entries, and forfeiture of payments made.
3.9 If duplicate ticket numbers are assigned due to an error, the entrant whose purchase was completed first will retain the number. Payment timestamps recorded by the payment processor will be used to determine priority. Any affected entrant will be allocated a replacement number selected at random from those remaining.
3.10 Purchasing entries does not improve the chances of winning when compared with the free entry route. Competitions are operated in accordance with the provisions of the Gambling Act 2005 and are intended to fall outside the legal definition of a lottery.
3.11 Any attempt to exceed entry limits through the use of multiple accounts, identities, email addresses, or automated services may result in all associated entries being declared void and may lead to disqualification without refund.
3.12 Entries submitted after a Competition has closed will not be eligible for inclusion in the draw. The Company’s database clock shall determine all official closing times.
3.13 Quantum Comps reserves the right to refuse entry, suspend accounts, request further verification, or permanently remove access to the Website where it reasonably believes that an entrant has breached these Terms, acted fraudulently, behaved abusively, or otherwise attempted to undermine the integrity of a Competition.
3.14 To the fullest extent permitted by law, all entries become the property of Quantum Comps once submitted and cannot be returned.
WINNER SELECTION
4.1 Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the Competition closes.
4.2 Quantum Comps may use a recognised random number generator or another independently verifiable method to determine winning entries.
4.3 Draws may be conducted live on social media platforms or through other publicly accessible channels within approximately seven to ten days following the end of the Competition.
4.4 Competitions may close once all available entries have been allocated or when the advertised closing date is reached.
4.5 If insufficient entries are received, Quantum Comps reserves the right to extend the Competition by up to ten days on a maximum of three occasions.
4.6 If a Competition remains undersubscribed after any extensions, Quantum Comps may offer a cash alternative based on the total ticket sales received, less reasonable administration, marketing, and operating expenses.
4.7 Quantum Comps reserves the right to close a Competition early and conduct an early draw using all eligible entries received up to the revised closing date.
4.8 In the event of technical issues, interruptions to live streaming, administrative mistakes, or any unforeseen circumstance affecting the draw process, Quantum Comps reserves the right to postpone, restart, reschedule, or repeat the draw to ensure fairness.
VERIFICATION
5.1 Before a prize is awarded, winners may be required to provide proof of identity, age, and address. Acceptable documents may include photographic identification and proof of address dated within the previous three months.
5.2 Failure to provide the requested documentation within seven days may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternative winner.
5.3 Quantum Comps reserves the right to withhold or refuse a prize where there is reasonable suspicion of fraud, misrepresentation, breach of these Terms and Conditions, or tampering with the Competition process.
5.4 Unless otherwise stated, each Competition will have a single main prize winner. Where runner-up prizes are available, these will be clearly detailed on the relevant Competition page.
WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE COLLECTION
6.1 Winners will normally be notified within 24 hours of the draw taking place using the email address associated with their account and used when entering the Competition.
6.2 Winners must acknowledge and accept their prize within 14 days of being notified. Quantum Comps cannot be held responsible for delays or failures in receiving notification due to inactive email accounts, spam filters, technical issues, or a participant’s failure to check their messages.
6.3 If a winner cannot be contacted by email, Quantum Comps may attempt to contact them using the telephone number provided during registration.
6.4 If a winner does not respond within 30 days of the initial notification, fails to accept the prize, or is found to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions, Quantum Comps reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.
6.5 Quantum Comps may require winners to sign documentation confirming eligibility, acceptance of the prize, and release of liability before the prize is awarded.
6.6 Unless otherwise agreed, prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for another item or service.
6.7 Collection of a prize is the responsibility of the winner. Quantum Comps may, at its sole discretion, offer secure storage of a prize for a limited period or arrange delivery within the United Kingdom at no additional cost.
PRIVACY
7.1 Any personal information provided by entrants will be processed in accordance with the Quantum Comps Privacy Policy available on quantum-comps.co.uk.
7.2 By entering a Competition, participants consent to Quantum Comps using their personal information for the administration of Competitions, verification of winners, prize fulfilment, and maintenance of winner records.
7.3 By accepting a prize, winners agree that Quantum Comps may publish their first name, surname initial, town or county, photographs, videos, or other promotional content for marketing and publicity purposes.
7.4 Winners may also be invited to participate in promotional activities, interviews, photographs, or video recordings relating to their prize. Such participation is voluntary unless otherwise required by law.

8.1 Details of each prize are displayed on the relevant Competition page. Quantum Comps may operate several Competitions at the same time, each with its own prize and entry requirements.
8.2 Gift cards, vouchers, and certificates are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the issuing company.
8.3 Prizes cannot be transferred, resold, or substituted unless Quantum Comps determines otherwise.
8.4 Cash prizes will only be paid electronically to a bank account held in the winner’s name following successful verification.
8.5 Quantum Comps does not guarantee the condition, quality, appearance, performance, or suitability of any prize and accepts no responsibility for any defects once a prize has been accepted by the winner.
8.6 Where a prize consists of a road-legal vehicle, it will be supplied in a roadworthy condition and, where applicable, with a valid MOT certificate.
8.7 Costs associated with collecting, transporting, registering, insuring, taxing, maintaining, or operating a prize shall remain the responsibility of the winner unless specifically stated otherwise.
8.8 Competitions are open only to eligible residents of the United Kingdom, and prizes will only be awarded to winners residing within those permitted locations.
8.9 Winners are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, charges, or other liabilities arising from accepting a prize.
8.10 Free postal entry is available for every Competition. To enter by post, participants must send a handwritten postcard containing their full name, residential address, date of birth, contact telephone number, email address, registered username, the exact name of the Competition, the correct answer to the Competition question where applicable, and confirmation that they agree to these Terms and Conditions.
8.11 Postal entries must be sent by first-class or second-class stamped mail to:

8.14 Entrants using the postal entry route must have an active account on quantum-comps.co.uk, and the information provided on the postcard must exactly match the details registered on their account.

9.1 Quantum Comps accepts no responsibility for incorrect or incomplete entry information, failed electronic transmissions, technical faults, interruptions, unauthorised access, loss of data, or any malfunction affecting the operation of a Competition.
9.2 Quantum Comps reserves the right to suspend, cancel, modify, or terminate a Competition where circumstances beyond its control compromise the fairness, security, or proper administration of the Competition.
9.3 In such circumstances, Quantum Comps may issue refunds for paid entries, award prizes using an alternative method, or take any other action considered necessary to ensure fairness.
9.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quantum Comps shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or financial losses arising from participation in a Competition, use of the Website, or acceptance of a prize.
